We Are the Mutants welcomes concise pitches on topics relevant to our mission. We are looking for smart, engaging cultural analysis and criticism. We are not looking for jargon or fanboy panegyrics.
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with “PITCH” written in the subject line. Include your idea in the body of the email with a link to two or three writing samples (blog posts are perfectly acceptable). Your feature article or essay, if accepted, should be at least 1000 words. There is no maximum.
We are also interested in shorter reviews (books, albums, films, comics, illustrations, etc.) in the 500-750 word range, and queries are always welcome.
We are not able to pay contributors at this time. However, since our launch on August 29, 2016, We Are the Mutants has been linked to by The New York Times, The A.V. Club, Bloody Disgusting, and Uproxx, and our work has been featured twice by WordPress Discover. You will be read.
